Anne is almost done

I gave up on waiting on the rest of the appliques for the neckline. I pulled off the few I had on there, went to Hancock’s yesterday morning and bought some trim.
But let’s start at the beginning.
Friday I finished my corset.

made a new corset for my Anne Boleyn costume. Just used some scraps -- leftover material from my Haunted Mansion skirt, and leftover trims, too. It's much nicer and more comfortable than my old one.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

Saturday I ran out to Joann’s since I had a gift card I needed fabric for my surprise costume. Got all that, came home and worked on stuff. Got a new back panel made, and started piecing together jewelry pieces I’ve collected for it, and beaded my girdle belt. (Also, played with dyeing my peggy wig)
Here’s some pics from Saturday night:

Another test fit. Everything is attached, sleeves are done, girdle belt is beaded and finished. Still working on the neckline trim.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram Photo & Video Sharing by SmugMug

And a close-up of what I had done with the jewelry so far:

So then yesterday, like I said, I ripped the appliques off and sewed on the new trim. I finished up the jewelry pieces for the neckline and got them attached and lord are my fingers sore from working the needle through all that all day yesterday.

Finished neckline. Quite proud of how it turned out.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

Also did various little clean-up things, sewed the buttons on my backpiece and hook-and-eyes on things.

Test fit -- -everything is pretty much done here.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram I pulled the gold appliques off and replaced it with a gold trim I bought locally. It was much thinner and easy to work with. I finished all of the jewel pieces and got them attached. My fingers were very sore!Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

Luna is acclimating quickly. She’s no longer scared of Indy (just a little iffy sometimes). She’s a ball of hyper energy, but yesterday she actually chilled on the couch with me for a long time.
And then went berserk over a straw.
